About NAMI

Most of us join NAMI Nashville because someone in our lives, someone we love, has a mental illness. Mental health professionals join NAMI, too, and lend valuable support to NAMI's advocacy efforts.

As members, you and your family will receive newsletters that keep you up to date on developments affecting Tennesseans with mental illness. You'll also receive notices about upcoming classes and conferences across the state. As a NAMI member, your voice counts.

Simply by joining, you make your concern felt and your voice heard in Nashville and in Washington when lawmakers debate issues related to mental illness. You join with the 220,000 NAMI members nationwide, and the 3,500 members in Tennessee, who seek to end the stigma associated with diseases that affect nearly 300,000 Tennesseans.
